Conveniently located within walking distance of the Ferry Landing, Salafai Inn is Savaii’s first accommodation geared specifically for backpackers. Our property is situated in the hub of Salelologa—across the street from the Market, Bus Stop, restaurants, banks and shops—the perfect base from which to explore the Big Island of Savaii.

Salafai Backpacker’s Inn provides top quality accommodation for groups and independant travelers with cool, clean, lockable rooms to suit any budget. We offer a mix of accommodation, including 3-bed dorms and private rooms, all with ensuite bathroom, ceiling fan and private, enclosed sun porch. Private rooms have partial ocean views, and mini-fridge, television and air-conditioning.

Salafai is Samoan owned and operated, and we are happy to share our knowledge of the Island with our guests. Ask us about the best places to visit or to arrange a trip to our property in Faga Village, on the east coast of Savaii, to swim or snorkel at the beautiful Marine Protected Area.

Savai'i Island can be easily reached by the ferry from Mulifanua Wharf, 5-minutes west of Faleolo Airport (ferries run every 2-hours). Salafai Backpacker's Inn is a 5-minute walk from the Ferry; please call us if you require pick-up.
