People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive is Samoan

In a special double issue, People Magazine has voted Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the Sexiest Man Alive, gracing the cover of its December issue.

The star of the latest Disney blockbuster, Moana was described by the magazine as “sweet, smart and sculpted”. In this issue he speaks about his family life, the kind of women that catches his eye, life with his daughter Simone and baby Jasmine.

Known by his moniker ‘The Rock’ which was in reference to his exceptional physique as shown off during his professional wrestling days, he was also a decorated football player before following the footsteps of his grandfather and father into the WWE arena. he has since built up a career in show business starring in block busters such as The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, The Fast and the Furious, Race to Witch Mountain, Hercules and San Andreas to name a few.  He is also a celebrated reality TV show host, hosting Hero, and is also a celebrated producer.

His latest project sees him play the role of the demi god Maui, in Disney’s Moana.
Dwayne Johnson is the son of a Samoan mother and a black Nova Scotian father. He visited in Samoa in 2004 where he was bestowed a High Chiefly title by the late Head of State, His Highness MALIETOA TANUMAFILI II. The Rock, as he is affectionately known by the locals, is a major benefactor to Samoan causes, donating thousands of his own earnings to various charities for Samoa and is understood to have visited Samoa in the aftermath of the 2009 tsunami to help local communities.
