Samoa – The Perfect Destination for Your Next Tribal Council

Looking for a new destination to conduct your next tribal council?  Look no further than the Treasured Islands of the South Pacific, Samoa.

As Samoa marks 2011-2012 as Celebrate Samoa Year, the nation will be adding a new venue to its stellar repertoire giving you more choices to hold your own celebrations, conferences, meetings or events.

Samoa Tourism Authority is excited to announce the arrival of the Samoa Conference Centre, located in the heart of downtown Apia. The Conference Centre is within easy access to all major sites, restaurants, cafes, hotels and is a stone’s throw away from beautiful Apia harbor and marina.

Due to open its doors in November, the Centre will have two levels with an elaborately designed reception located on the ground floor with the second floor for conferences and events.

Designed to seat approximately 450 guests comfortably the Conference Centre is fully equipped with:

    Interpreter rooms
    Video conference systems
A state of the art PA sound system
    Interpreter system
    PPT system
    2 LED screens

The VIP Room can be partitioned to form break out rooms and is fully air-conditioned.

The Centre also has 13 flagpoles in the plaza, which makes it perfect for international and regional meetings.

Conference and event experiences can be made more memorable by incorporating traditional Samoan cultural experiences as part of the program. Fia Fia nights are a celebration of Samoan culture through song and dance. A highlight is the Siva Afi or Fire Knife dance. The venue coordinator can easily arrange demonstrations and performances and Samoans are more than happy to have audience participation in their performances!

Peter Sereno of Samoa Tourism Authority believes that Samoa offers conference organisers an option for a hassle free event in an authentic South Pacific paradise setting.

“Samoans live according to a code of conduct not found anywhere else in the South Pacific. This is born of a 3,000 year old culture called Fa’a Samoa which translates to ‘The Samoan Way’, and the Samoan way is to be friendly and hospitable hosts.

“Whilst Samoan values are timeless, their conferences and events facilities are up to date and can accommodate groups of all sizes - from a board meeting for a dozen to a conference for four hundred. Just five hours flying time from Australia’s east coast, Samoa offers the perfect ‘home away from home’ for the discerning business traveler” says Peter.
