The Samoa Tourism Authority (STA) officially launched its new website www.samoa.travel at the Menzies Hotel in Sydney on Wednesday, 6th August 2008, with over 100 guests in attendance. Launches were also conducted at the Novotel in Brisbane and Melbourne on Thursday, 7th August and Monday, 11th August respectively. The comprehensive website features information on Samoa'as accomodation and attractions, detailed maps, travellers stories, tips and special holiday deals. "Statistics show that almost 60% holiday booking are made on the internet, so we have invested a great deal of money to develop this site", said Samoa's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Hon.
