PR - Samoa will be showcasing its best as agents descend on the Treasure Islands of the South Pacific later this month.
The Fa’a Samoa Roadshow will run from 20-25 March and will be held in various locations in Upolu and Savai’i.
Australian product managers and senior agents attending the event will receive property updates, be introduced to new properties and accommodation options and meet with property managers and Samoa Tourism Authority representatives.
Participants will be able to witness firsthand the progress made since the 2009 tsunami and will be introduced to beach fales as unique accommodation options for the Australian market.
They will also receive a sample of the soft adventure options for their clients as provided by inbound tour operators Polynesian Xplorer and Samoa Scenic Tours.
Peter Sereno, from Samoa Tourism Authority Australia says that there is a need to educate the trade on the offerings unique to Samoa.
“The beauty of hosting the roadshow in Samoa is that it gives our industry partners an opportunity to experience firsthand Fa’a Samoa – The Samoan Way. It is this that sets us apart as a nation from the rest of the South Pacific and is best experienced than explained.
“The participants will have an opportunity to spend a night in a beach fale. Imagine drifting off to sleep under a starry sky to the sound of the ocean - this type of accommodation is uniquely Samoan.”
He also believes that Samoa’s modern facilities, diverse landscape, helpful and welcoming locals and year round warm weather has something to offer everyone.
“Samoa has excellent conference venues for the MICE market, state of the art sporting facilities ideal for training tours, amenities for water sports, golf and picture perfect locations for weddings and honeymoons.
“With its beautiful white sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, stunning waterfalls, lush rainforest, rugged mountains and lava fields, Samoa is also the perfect destination for the soft adventure enthusiast.”
