Our beautiful lagoon has been the jumping-off point for watersports in Samoa since the early 1950s when Solent flying boats, en route to Tahiti anchored here for the night allowing their passengers time for some well-earned R&R.

Nowadays, rest & relaxation isn’t so hard to find. Samoa’s best scuba diving, snorkelling and watersports are within every visitor to Samoa’s reach and can be easily found in one spectacular location!

Pure Ocean Dive & Watersports is Samoa’s newest and best PADI 5 Star dive and watersports centre. Located in the grounds of the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort, a 5min drive from Faleolo International Airport, our boats will take you to enjoy Samoa’s best scuba diving and snorkelling. A full range of PADI dive courses is also available from beginner to a professional level. Our watersports options include Stand Up Paddle Boards, kayaks, Hobie Catamaran sailing, pedal boats and snorkelling equipment rental for exploring Upolu’s beautiful reefs. We are also an agent for MotoSamoa, Samoa’s only scooter rental company giving you an easy and affordable way to see amazing Upolu! 

Scuba Diving

Samoa’s best dive sites are an easy boat ride away from the Pure Ocean dive centre. With all-new, high-quality equipment including Aqualung BCD’s and Apeks regulators, we have dive sites suitable for every experience level whether you are looking for stunning coral gardens teeming with colourful reef fish, shipwreck diving or the adrenaline rush mix of current and passing pelagics. For certified divers, Pure Ocean offers a range of diving options including:

Pure Ocean Dive & Watersports are a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort offering a full range of PADI diving courses from Discover Scuba Diving to Divemaster. Snorkelling

Pure Ocean’s snorkel boat trips take in some of Samoa’s best snorkelling giving you a great view of what’s below as well as above the surface of this island paradise. One of our experienced snorkel guides will be right there in the water with you to point out some of the amazing marine life that can be found on our reefs. If you’re planning a sightseeing trip around the island a visit to some of our stunning beaches then you’ll need snorkelling equipment of your own which can be rented from the Pure Ocean Dive & Watersports Centre.

Watersports

The shallow, protected waters of Sheraton's Lagoon in front of the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort are perfect for a leisurely paddle and our friendly staff will have you out on the water in no time! Whether it be searching for turtles from one of our stands up paddleboards, exploring the lagoon on a kayak, a leisurely paddle in a pedalo or the exhilarating fun of our Hobie Catamaran, Pure Ocean has the gear to give your holiday a buzz!
